Our Ministry

Christian Prisoner Fellowship (CPF) is a nonprofit ministry committed to extending the hope and power of Christ's gospel to over 7.3 million people currently behind bars, on probation, or on parole in North America's criminal justice system, as well as to their families.

With the message of Christ’s love, forgiveness, and restoration, CPF works closely with correction officials, inmates and their families to assist in the inmates’ transition toward becoming productive citizens.

Since 1982, CPF has partnered with local churches across North America to provide inspirational, instructional, and motivational tools to equip committed volunteers with skills, qualifications, and credentials necessary for effective ministry to individuals under correctional supervision and their families.  Since inception, CPF has trained and certified more than 3000 volunteers for ministry in the correctional environment.  These skilled volunteers work closely with Departments of Correction to assist in meeting specified goals of rehabilitation and re-entry into the community.

CPF also provides support resources to employees working in criminal justice through its fellowship of Professionals in Criminal Justice.

Do you have a friend or loved one who is incarcerated?  Do you have a burden for individuals under correctional supervision in your community?

Through CPF, you can contact a network of certified CPF chaplains and volunteers trained and dedicated to reaching your friends, family, and those in your community behind bars or in transitional living facilities.  If you desire to serve in this ministry, CPF can equip and empower you to be involved.
